About Us
Coordinating Council Model

The coordinating council model for mission is one of six sample models that may be modified according to your unit's needs and plans.

The coordinating council model has four to nine council members, each representing a subgroup of women (that is, a circle, quilters, a study group, and so forth). Two or three leaders may be elected by the council, by women's groups or by women in the congregation.

The strengths of this model include flexibility, ability to include new subgroups in the coordinating council, ease of including both short-term and on-going groups, and good channels for communication.

Weaknesses could be found in size and representation.
