devotional reflection
Leader: For 20 years,
Women of the ELCA has carried out the impassioned words of our
purpose statement: created, called,
empowered, committed. As we commemorate the 20th anniversary of
our gatherings, Bible studies, discipleship, advocacy, and stewardship, we
rejoice in our 20 years of purpose as women of the Lutheran faith.
All: Created in the image of God, we
celebrate our time together as women, young and old. We rejoice that we
are empowered to learn, teach, pray, and celebrate as one community of
believers. We have grown in our faith and helped others to do the same. We
have received support from one another and affirmed the gifts and choices
of the women we have met through this organization. May we continue to
grow in our faith and our ministries, honoring the spirit and boldness
that inspired our founding 20 years ago. Amen.
